Where To Buy Chocolate Pecan Pie

The same classic recipe as our original Texas Pecan Pie with delicious chocolate chunks added inside and a chocolate drizzle on top. We start with a hand made crust, roll it out, and pinch the edges by hand to make our signature crust design. Savor the flavor of this Chocolate Pecan Pie when warmed and served with a side of vanilla ice cream.

You can use dark, bittersweet, or semi-sweet chocolate for this recipe. I prefer using good quality chocolate bars rather than chocolate chips because I prefer the richer, intense chocolatey flavor, for both the filling and the chocolate chunks mixed in. Chocolate chips contain stabilizers that allow them to hold their shape during baking and are usually sweeter and have a less intense flavor.

Heat butter and 55g chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat until melted. Add sugar, mix for 30 seconds and turn off heat. Mix in corn syrup. Let mixture cool slightly. Add eggs, bourbon, vanilla, and salt, and mix until well combined. Spread chopped pecans and 120g chopped chocolate evenly inside the chilled pie shell. Pour filling over the pecans and chocolate. If you reserved pecans for decoration, decorate the surface of the pie with the pecans, pressing them in slightly so that they are coated with the filling.

Food & Wine named our Chocolate Fudge Pecan Pie a top 21 pie pick for 2021. So if you need something for a chocolate lover then this chocolate southern pecan pie is perfect for you. We follow the same famous recipe, but add chocolate fudge to the filling of this pie. Non-dairy

Our Pottery House Cafe created its own loyal pie fans with this signature Chocolate Pecan Pie. Adding premium quality chocolate was the only way we could think of to improve the grand Southern classic, and it worked like a charm! Baked fresh daily. 9-inch diameter. Serves 6-8.

I am not a fan of just a pecan pie but one with chocolate I could literally eat every single day. This is the first time I ordered a pie from The Old Mill and it will definitely not be my last time. Absolutely delicious and delivery was quick!!!

Chocolate Pecan Pie is a delicious dessert that combines the classic pecan pie recipe with a ribbon of chocolate. The easy southern pecan pie recipe takes about 10 minutes to make and less than an hour to bake. You'll love this Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday meal dessert.

What makes our Pecan Pie so special? We source only the best pecans from a family owned and operated pecan farm. This twist on the southern classic incorporates pieces of dark Swiss chocolate and could convert even the most devoted pecan pie purist.

A Northern version of a Southern classic. Handmade from scratch filling mixed with pecan halves and premium pieces of bittersweet chocolate chunks. Available for order year round all the way from Up North Michigan.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, and 1 teaspoon salt. In a smaller bowl, whisk together the butter, eggs, vanilla, and bourbon. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients andstir with a rubber spatula until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips andpecans.

The easy answer here is, add chocolate! You could certainly just add 1/2 cup or so of chocolate chips to my pecan pie recipe and call it a day. It will turn out great. BUT I played around with that recipe a little bit so the texture inside this pie is like molten chocolate pudding. I KNOW!!

YES! The great thing about this pie recipe is that you can make it from scratch, or take a shortcut! Generally pecan pie is served at a holiday table, a party, or some type of get-together, so cutting back on dessert prep time is essential! And a pre-made crust is an easy short cut.

Just like the original, chocolate pecan pie goes well with ice cream. Another southern delight, this treat features crisp pecans. Pecan pies fall under the sugar pie category which gives them a gooey, almost caramel center. Depending on the recipe, different sugars make the sweet batter for the pie. Both brown and white sugars can be used, but so can molasses. Corn syrup is a common ingredient as well. Even honey is used.

Pie perfection! Chocolate, pecans, and a creamy bourbon filling all in a flaky, buttery crust. Made with fine Kentucky Bourbon, this pie is guaranteed to be a favorite at your next dinner party or as a present for someone special. Our favorite way to serve this pie is warm with vanilla bean ice cream or fresh whipped cream, but we have been known to eat it straight out of the pan with coffee first thing in the morning. It's delicious however you choose to eat it!

Crumble the tofu into a blender or food processor, along with the milk, cornstarch, and salt. Puree until completely smooth, scraping down the sides of the blender to make sure you get everything.Add the tofu mixture and the vanilla to the warm caramel in the mixing bowl and mix well. Fold in the pecans to incorporate.

This looks wonderful! While Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone, I think I can come up with a valid reason to whip this up! Question: If I double this recipe, do you think I can freeze one for a future chocolate pecan pie emergency?

After the chocolate seized up, mine looked like brownie batter in a pool of oil. Not good. I added the tofu mixture to it in a bowl but it solidifies the chocolate, making things worse. So, I put it back on the stove to melt it alllllll down. Once it was completely smooth, I stirred in the pecans and poured it into my pie shell. Baked 40 min as instructed, and it looks perfect. If I could share a photo in this comment I would.

I had the same issue with the chocolate seizing up. It was a giant glob of hard chocolate in bit of an oil bath. We put the mixture in our Vitamix and it turned out perfect! Put it back in a bowl then added the tofu mix and it was super smooth. Thank you Vitamix! And the pie was delicious!!!

Mine seized as well when I added the chocolate chips, although I did not get the pools of oil that others have mentioned. I turned off the heat, added the tofu mixture, and hand-whisked the hell out of it until I had a smooth, liquid mixture. Added the pecans, tossed it in the oven, and a delicious, perfect pie came out!

I tried it with a cup of carob chips instead of chocolate and it turned out perfectly! I blended it all with the tofu after it had lightly boiled then added the pecan halves. Perfect! Also did it with a GF crust. Perfect for Thanksgiving. Thanks!

Combine the ingredients in a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer. Using an electric mixer, mix on high speed for about 1 minute or until combined, light, and frothy. Slowly add in the melted caramel mixture, then stir in the pecans by hand. The mixture will be very thin.

I just wanted to say that I have made this twice, and love it! I however added flake salt once the chocolate chips were on, it really amps it up and gives that nice sweet & salty. So good, thanks for sharing! (:

Chocolate pecan pie is just like the original but with a chopped up dark Dove chocolate bar added in, taking this dessert to the next level. It reminds me of eating one of those chocolate caramel turtles that my Grandma always made at Christmas time.

I just purchased the annual Southern Living Christmas Cookbook (Special edition presented by Dillard's) and this recipe is in it. I was contemplating making it for Christmas but fear mine would never turn out like the picture. How hard/time consuming is it to arrange the pecans on top? Yours looks just like the picture. Good job!

If you like sweet pies and love chocolate, then it is absolutely worth taking the effort to make it! I didn't think making the decorative pie top was too cumbersome. If you start at the outside and work your way in, gently placing them on top, then it will look just as pretty as the picture!

I'm so sorry to hear that, Kelli. I felt this pie definitely benefitted from some time in the refrigerator but I wouldn't describe it as runny before refrigeration. To ensure a more set pie, I like to use the press-test, which is when you press the middle of the pecan pie it should feel like Jell-o. Southern Living's baking instructions worked for me but I'll update it based on your feedback! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I've never liked Pecan Pie because I detest corn syrup and most recipes have so much of it! But my husband loves it so last year we used golden syrup in place of corn syrup and it was a lot better (I thought). This year my husband made one using cane syrup to see if that would be good. I think this recipe looks delicious and would definitely like to give it a try, I love chocolate and salted caramel! Of course, the husband doesn't like chocolate, but I think I'll make it anyways! 041b061a72
